INFANT PROGRAM

Our infant suites create a home-like environment for children beginning at six weeks of age and are not yet crawling or walking.  Our loving staff provides a quality program that is nurturing and consistent and helps infants develop a sense of trust while providing for their basic needs in a safe, secure and trusting environment.

• Low infant: teacher ratios allow us to give each child the personalized attention they deserve.
  

• Individualized cribs and changing tables reinforce our high sanitation standard and help prevent illness.

TODDLER PROGRAM

With babyhood behind them, our toddlers are becoming more active by crawling and beginning to walk.  They are ready to abandon the help they happily relied on during infancy and take on new experiences.  Our teachers and age appropriate rooms provide many opportunities for children to discover the new world around them in a safe and caring environment. 

• Our teachers encourage children to do things on their own. Learning-by-doing helps toddlers develop a feeling of confidence as they master new skills.
  

• Realizing that toddlers have many skills to master, our low student:teacher ratios encourage successful learning.
  

• Our light and colorful toddler rooms are filled with developmentally appropriate toys and equipment that encourage play, discovery and exploration.
  

• Sensory experiences such as seeing, touching, hearing, smelling and tasting are explored within the classroom as well as through our state of the art, age appropriate playground area.
  

• When developmentally appropriate, our toddlers will enjoy meals in our centrally located student center. 
  

• In our outdoor play area, toddlers are surrounded with safe, age appropriate toys that encourage active play.  Weather permitting; toddlers will enjoy our water park.

PRE-SCHOOL PROGRAM

Preschoolers at Willow Brook Academy have mastered many significant self help skills including potty training.  They explore their world through imaginative play and begin to build friendships.  Our teachers and age appropriate rooms provide child-centered activities which allow preschoolers to work on social, cognitive, language and physical skills. 

• Learning centers encourage students to be truly engaged in learning activities through active play. 
  

• Both fine and gross motor skills are developed using age appropriate materials.  Teachers encourage our students by offering many opportunities to select their own materials and activities and to work at their own pace.
  

• Using our age appropriate curriculum, our teachers guide students in the areas of language, science, social studies, math, art and music.

PRE-KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM

Willow Brook Academy’s expanded pre-kindergarten program provides a challenging, multi-sensory, stimulating environment for your student.  Pre-kindergarten children are adventurous and eager to experience and master new skills. Our curriculum encourages success, self-confidence, social and academic development.

• At Willow Brook Academy, we believe that when children feel good about themselves, they are more likely to achieve academic and social success.  Our teachers encourage positive self-image through praise, positive reinforcement and recognition.
  

• Learning is encouraged through the use of learning centers which allow students to explore materials and learn through creative play.
  

• Our pre-kindergarten educational curriculum offers instruction in math, including number recognition, counting, shapes, likes and differences and beginning simple addition.  Language instruction includes introduction to the alphabet, reading skills through stories and games and listening comprehension.  Science and social studies are incorporated in our lesson plans through observation and sharing.  Art, music, thinking and gross motor activities are incorporated in our lesson plans and are included in our daily activities.

BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

Our staff at Willow Brook Academy understands the unique needs and interests of school age children.  Willow Brook Academy provides support and encouragement allowing your child to prepare for the day ahead and to unwind after the school day.  Children in our before and after school program enjoy time to play and establish friendships, homework assistance, monitored computer access and healthy snacks in our cafeteria.

• Teachers create opportunities for children to work independently (reading or working on homework assignments) or in small groups (playing board games or working on art and craft projects.)
  

• Children are full of energy after school.  Their play area and water park allows active play and opportunities to develop friendships with peers.
  

• Our staff provides support, reassurance, encouragement and limit-setting to help children feel safe and secure and enjoy their friends at Willow Brook Academy.

SUMMER CAMP

Willow Brook Academy's Camp "FunTastic" offers a fun-filled summer of activities, adventures and learning for children ages five through twelve. Camp "FunTastic" provides our students with opportunities to meet new friends while staying connected with their friends from the school year.

• Parents can choose three, four or five day programs with a minimum commitment of three weeks..
  

• There are no additional activity, field trip or food fees.
  

• Weekly themed lesson plans with field trips and activities that coordinate with our themes.
  

• Weekly water day in our on-site water park - a favorite!!
  

• Hip hop dance class or soccer coaching (student choice).
  

• Parties and picnics including ice cream socials, pizza party and and end of the summer picnic.
  

• Willow Brook Academy annual talent show - a crowd pleaser!
  

• Wii game system.
  

• Air hockey, pool, ping pong and more!
